TASC is run by Carolyn Spring, a survivor of child sexual abuse which left her suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. When the dissociated memories of her abuse began to return following a sudden breakdown in 2005, she didn’t know where to turn for help.  She searched the internet and struggled to find the help that she later realised was available, because many of the Google search results pointed her to sites with missing, outdated or incomplete information. In 2009, she therefore began to set up TASC as a web-resource for survivors of abuse, to help signpost them towards helpful organisations, information, events and books - something with everything in one place.

Carolyn is now a freelance speaker, trainer and writer and along with her husband Rob also runs PODS - Positive Outcomes for Dissociative Survivors - which supports people with DID, their partners, friends, family, supporters and caring professionals such as counsellors, therapists and psychiatric nurses.  For more information go to www.pods-online.org.uk. PODS and TASC both work to raise awareness of the realities of child sexual abuse and especially the long-term effects in terms of post traumatic stress disorder and/or dissociative disorders.

TASC is supported by START (Survivors Trauma and Abuse Recovery Trust), a registered charity number 1143737.  More details can be found on the START website at www.start-online.org.uk.

Carolyn has her own website: www.carolynspring.co.uk.

Carolyn spends a large amount of time training and details of her courses can be found here.
