TASC is run by Carolyn Spring, a survivor of child sexual abuse which left her suffering
from Dissociative Identity Disorder. When the dissociated memories of her abuse began
to return following a sudden breakdown in 2005, she didn’t know where to turn for
help. She searched the internet and struggled to find the help that she later realised
was available, because many of the Google search results pointed her to sites with
missing, outdated or incomplete information. In 2009, she therefore began to set
up TASC as a web-
Carolyn is now a freelance speaker, trainer and writer and along with her husband
Rob also runs PODS -
TASC is supported by START (Survivors Trauma and Abuse Recovery Trust), a registered
