PODS is a subsidiary of TASC and is a support organisation for ‘Partners of Dissociative Survivors’.

‘Partners’ can mean a spouse or partner, but PODS is also open to family members or anyone who supports a dissociative survivor in any non-professional way (ie not a therapist).

‘Dissociative Survivor’ means someone who has a dissociative disorder, principally Dissociative Identity Disorder.

PODS runs a helpline each Tuesday evening from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm on 01480 878409 but appointments to phone at other times can be mutually agreed.  PODS also provides email support where requested.  The website at www.pods-online.org.uk provides more information about both PODS and DID.

PODS also runs regular Open Meetings for partners to get together to support one another and to learn more about DID and how to better support their partners.

The next Information Workshop / Open Meeting is on Saturday 9 October 2010 in Cambridgeshire. For further details go to www.pods-online.org.uk.
